At Stream Energy, we believe our role as your energy advisor is to give you the greatest energy savings and customer experience possible. One way we do this is by making decisions based on what is in YOUR best interest.

  • If the new agreement that you are signing up for carries a rate that is higher than your current agreement (and you are within 90 days of your contract's expiration date), we'll allow you to finish out the current agreement and rate until its expiration date before putting the new agreement into effect. That way you can enjoy your energy savings for the longest period of time possible while simultaneously locking in a future rate to protect yourself from the volatility of the energy markets.
  • If, on the other hand, the new agreement that you are signing up for offers you a better rate than your current agreement and you are within 90 days of your contract's expiration date, we'll put the new contract into effect on the next billing cycle.
  • If you are currently on a Month-to-Month (Variable) Rate plan and wish to lock in, please note that your new rate will take effect on the next billing cycle.
